PARASAILING FAQ'S

  • No Experience Necessary!

  • You can parasail 2 or 3 at a time sitting side by side*(see below).  

  • We do not fly Singles, you must come with a flying Partner.

  • Parasailing Rides are approximately 10-12+ min.

  • The whole boat ride is about 1Hour since we only take 6 passengers on the boat. (Other Parsail Co. in Destin carry 12-15 Parasailors)

  • Take off and land on the boat

  • Get a dip in the water or stay dry, your choice!

  • Please arrive at least 20 min. prior to your Appt. Time. The boat will leave on schedule with or without you, and your card on file will be charged if you miss the Boat.

  • Normally, the best time to parasail in Destin is before 1pm! Thats when the wind & seas are calmest and clearest (and best chance to see dolphins.)  The afternoon can get rough and windy with the Sea Breeze everyday.

  • During the busy Season we run a Shuttle Boat from the Dock to the Parasail Boat. This way we don't have to deflate the Parasail everytime and we can do longer Parasail Rides! And we see tons of dolphins on the Shuttle Ride.

  • We can fly 6 years old and up

  • Buy the Photo Package or bring your camera!

  • Spectators are space available only and they must meet the same requirements as parasailors. We want to make room for flyers first. However, if all the flyers are minors, we can book 1 Spectator at $50, any other Specs must wait to see if there is room at the time of your appointment.

 

*  Flying 3 at a time depends on the wind and the weight of the flyers. The Captain will always do what is safest. If you're party is 4 or more, the Captain may mix and match you to get the safest weight for the wind conditions. 
If you have a party of 3 people, we may fly 2 doubles, flying someone twice at no additional charge if that's what is safest.

What You Can Bring Onboard

  • A small Bag with your Personal Belongings

  • Plastic Bottled Water Only

  • No Metal Water Canisters Allowed (unless stowed in bag)*

  • No Food or Drinks allowed (other than bottled water)

  • No Sunblock Allowed

  • No Coolers Allowed

 

*Everything you bring MUST BE STOWED IN YOUR BAG so your hands are free and nothing is rolling around free on the boat while you are flying.

!! RESTRICTIONS !!
Due to strict Insurance Safety Regulations you cannot Parasail or be a Spectator if:
   
  • Any person that weighs more than 250lbs.
  • !! PLEASE READ !!  Weight Restrictions: Total combined weight on the Parasail is 350lbs-450lbs MAX depending on the wind speed. If we have no wind or light wind the MAX total combined weight will be less than 450lbs. So, if everyone in your party is close to 250lbs we won't be able to fly you. Please let me know if everyone in your party weighs in the 200's. We might not be able to fly you. But if you show up and everyone weighs in the 200's and we can't fly you due to light wind conditions we will charge the card on file for the entire amount. Please let me know if your party is at the MAX weight! Thank you!
  • Any person that is Pregnant
  • Any Child is under 6 years old
  • Any Person that cannot sit, stand, or walk on their own*
  • Any Person that cannot follow simple instructions (this is not meant to be funny)
  • Any Person under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Any Person that has a mental or physical disability that could jeopardize Safety.
  • ANY PERSON WHO USES A WHEELCHAIR, WALKER, OR ANY MEDICAL DEVICE THAT HELPS THEM WALK.
 
​* WE WISH WE COULD PARASAIL EVERYONE, BUT WE CAN'T. SAFETY IS OUR #1 PRIORITY. EVERYONE MUST BE PHYSICALLY MOBILE WITH NO BALANCE ISSUES, MENTAL, OR PHYSICAL DISABILITIES. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.

Sun Dogs Parasail reserves the right to refuse service to anyone if we feel Safety will be jeopardized.

24 Hour Cancellation Policy 

If you need to Cancel or change the # of people in your reservation you must do so no later than 24 hours prior to your Appointment. If you Cancel with less notice or show up late and miss the boat your card on file will be charged the full amount. If you show up with less people than you booked for you will be charged for the # you booked for.  You must call and speak with Sun Dogs when you cancel in order to receive a refund.
